GLOBAL KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS WINDOWS 8
- WIN + Q – open search for installed programs.
- WIN + Z – open the panel of options Metro-active program.
- Win + SPACE – switch the language / keyboard layout.
- Win + Y – in time to show the desktop.
- WIN + W – parametric search system.
- WIN + F – Search for files.
- WIN + I – open a new “Start” menu – “Settings”.
- WIN + K – open a new “Start” menu – “Connections.”
- WIN + O – disable screen rotation (turn off the response to the gyro on the plates)
- WIN + C – open a new “Start” menu.
- WIN + V – switching between notifications.
- WIN + Shift + V – switching between the notification in reverse.
- WIN + Enter – run utilities Narrator, which reads aloud the titles and contents of all the opened windows.
- WIN + PageUp – move the tiles to the left.
- WIN + PgDown – move the tiles to the right.
- WIN + Shift +. - Move the separator [screen] to the left.
- WIN +. - Move the separator [screen] to the right.
- WIN + Tab – to Switch between Metro apps
- WIN + PrintScreen – Saves the screenshot in My Pictures folder automatically
- Win + R : Opens RUN dialog Box
- Win + L : Logs off the User account.
Old shortcuts (, Win + L) also work.
Keep in mind the following tricks:
- Start typing the name of the application from the keyboard directly to the Home screen “Start Screen”, to quickly run it.
- Familiar applications / folders in the Start menu, Metro-interface can be found by clicking on “Search”.
- If the Metro-interface to bring the mouse to the bottom-left corner opens a simplified “Start” menu.
- In Metro-interface for the applications become available, some specific options (toolbar bottom of the screen) when you click on the tile application, right-click.
- The “Settings” allows you to change not only the system configuration, but the specific parameters established by the Metro-based applications.
EXPLORER SHORTCUTS
Press ALT. The tape will show the tips for each button. Now press:
- H -opens the Home tab in Menu bar and shows the hot-key for performing different operations
- S -opens the Share tab in Menu bar and shows the hot-key for performing different operations
- V -opens the View tab in Menu bar and shows the hot-key for performing different operations
Note that these key are pressed sequentially and not simultaneously. For example, First you press Alt and then H and then N to create a New Folder.
