Reliance Communications Limited (RCOM) has won Global Excellence in Business Innovation award for its 3G Video Delivery Platform by TM Forum at the Management World Conference held on May 21 – 24 in Dublin, IRELAND.
TM Forum is a global Industry consortium with over 750 Companies. It provides a unique, fair and safe environment for the entire value-chain to collaborate and overcome the barriers to a vibrant, open digital economy, helping member companies of all sizes gain a competitive edge by enabling efficiency and agility in their IT and operations.
The Global Excellence Award is an annual award program that recognizes the global leaders in communications and acknowledges contributions that take the industry in new and innovative directions. This award was assessed by a panel of experts from the global Technology & Telecom industry and there were a handful of companies who got nominated for the Global Excellence in Business Innovation Award.
Reliance 3G Video Delivery Platform is the first of its kind streaming service offered by any telecomoperator in India since December 2011. It offers 3G users with an interactive platform to view adaptively streamed video content such as live video channels across different platforms like PCs, Smartphones, Tablets, MIDs and across multiple OS like iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Bada, Blackberry OS etc.
